Ed Gein: psycho murderer

Do you know the character from Outlast: Whistleblower, Eddie Gluskin?
Well, the creators were inspired in this real assassin, Ed Gein.

Ed Gein

Autorities discovered tha Gein had axhumed corpses from local graveyards and fashioned trophie and keepsakes from their bones and skin. Gin confessed to killing two women, Mary Hogan and Bernice Worden.

Edward was shy, and classmates and teachers remembered him as having strange mannerisms, such as seemingly random laughter, as if he were laughing at his own personal jokes. He was sometimes bullied. To make matters worse, his mother punished him whenever he tried to make friends. Despite his poor social development, he did fairly well in school, particulary in reading.

Crimes

On November 16, 1957, Plainfield hardware store owner bernice Worden disappeared, and police had reason to suspect Gein.  Worden's son told investigators that Gein had ben in the store the evening before the disappearence, saying he would return the next morning for a gallon of anti-freeze.
Upon searching Gein's property, investigators discovered Worden's decapitated body in a shed, hung upside down by roped at the wrists, with a crossbar at her ankles. The torso was dressed out like a deer. She had been shot with a 22-caliber rifle, and the mutilations were made after her death.

Searching the house, authorities found:

-whole human bones and fragments
- Wastebasket made of human skin
- Human skin covering several chair seats
- Skulls on his bedposts
-  Leggings made of human leg skin
- Masks made of human female heads
- Mary Hogan's face mask in a paper bag
- Mary Hogan's skull in a box
- A belt made of female human nipples
- Four noses
- A lampshade made of the skin of a human face
- Fingernails from female fingers

Eddie told investigators that between 1947 and 1952, he made as many as 40 visits to graveyards to exhume recently buried bodies while he was in a daze-like state. On about of those 30 visits, he said he came out of the daze while in the cementery, left the grave in good order, and returned home emptyhanded. On other occasions, he dug up the graves of recently buried middle-aged women he thought resembled his mother and took the bodies home, where he tanned their skins to make his paraphernalia.

Soon after his mother's death, Gein began to create a "woman suit" - he could became his mother - to literally crawl her skin.

Trial

On November 21, 1957, Gein was arraigned on one count of first degree murder in Wisconsin County Court, where he pled not guilty by reason of insanity. Found mentally incompetent and thus until for trial, Gein was sent to Central State Hospital for the Criminally Insane, a maximum-security facility in Waupun, Wisconsin, and later transferred to the Mendota State hospital in madison, Wisconsin. He was diagnosed with schizofrenia. the doctors determined Gein was "mentally able to confer with counsel and participate in his defense".

Gein was found guilty of first-degree murder by judge Robert H. Gollmar on November 14. A second trial dealt with Gein's sanity, after testimony by doctors for the rosecution and defense, Gollmar ruled Gein "not guilty by reason of insanity" and ordered him committed to Central state Hospital for the criminally insane.
"Due to prohibitive costs", Judge Gollmar wrote, "Gein was tried for only one murder, that of Mrs. Worden. He also admitted to killing mary Hogan".

Death

On July 26, 1984, gein died of respiratory failure due to lung cancer at the age of 77 on Stovall Hall at the Mendota Mental Health Institute. His grave site in the Plainfield Cementery was frequently vandalized over the years; souvenir seekers chipped off pieces of his gravestone beforethe bulk was stolen in 2000. The gravestone was recovered in June 2001 near Seattle and is now in storage at the Waushara County Sheriff's Department.

Ed Gein creations

Eddie Gluskin, character in Outlast: Whistleblower game, inspired on Ed Gein

Things he does to a victim

I just remebered that in AHS Asylum, there was the murderer who made things with human skin, and I thought that it could be inspired in Eddie too, and RIGHT!! it was!!
Remeber the bloodyface murder? Who had a mask, made of human skin, lamps and other things in his storage made of human skin?

I couldn't made better screenshot, but in this room he had all kind of stuff to make things with human skin.

Then he had Lana as his slave, and then as his "mother", he told her to call him his baby, or something like that.

Medievil: PS1 game

This game has its years, but it still one of my favourite.

Perhaps there are 2 games on PS 1, the first one is the best, all the fans would admit it.

First realese was on october 1998, and it's great composers are Andrew Barnabas and Paul Arnold, and the creators Chris Sorrell and Jason Wilson.

The name is a union of Medieval and Evil.

Story

Zarock, an evil sorcerer, want tto ensare the land of Gallowmere under his evel reign. But unwittingly brings Sir Daaniel Fortesquieu back to life.

Sir Daniel have to face different enemies, like zombies, pumpkins and other monsters to save Gallowmere.

With every level, it gets harder to pass, so the game have an evolution!))

To pass a level, you need o find hidden objects, to pass it completly, if you don't find it, you actually can pass it, going through the main door, but you need to collect a chalice, that you can reach by killing those zombies or other enemies, then their souls will be collected in the chalice, and when it arrive at the 100 %, you need to go there and get it.  It won't get by itself. ))

So, if you want to submerge into this great, amazing story - go on, right now!)) If you have a PS! - just find a cd game, and if not, you need to find a PS1 simulator and then download a psx game file,

Japanese folklore creatures

Japan is famous by its great history, modern comics, cosplay, samurai and geisha.
But there is another, dark, side of the country: the folklore.

Japanese folklore is huge, and the most famous is about a girl with black hair and white robes.

This time, I will talk about the japanese folklore creatures.

1. Yuki-Onna (snow woman)

This woman is often describes as having long, black hair, white-pale skin, wearing all white. She appears in the winter, gliding on the snow without feet like a ghost. She blow on her victims to freeze them to death and then suck out their souls through their mouths.

2. Karakasa-Obake

Japanese people believe that inmates objects can gain their own life, become what they call "Tsukumogami" and one of them would be an umbrella.
karakasa-Obake is a friendly spirit that looks like or is an umbrella, with one eye and one leg, wearing japanese sandal.

3. Shirime

Is an apparition that has an eyeball inside his anus.
One night, a samurai was walking the street, when he heard someone calling him, when he turned he saw a man, undressing, the man turned around and the samurai saw a large eye inside his anus. Samurai ran away.

4. Rokurokubi

Apparently, is normal woman during the day, but when the sun goes down, she turn in a girl with a very long neck. She would show her true form to scare people.

5. Nuppeppo

His name could sound cute, but is an animated lup of human flesh takes away the cuteness factor. It is passive and unagressive. There is a rumor that stated that those who eat the flesh of nuppeppo shall have eternal youth.

6. Nurikabe

When you go out by night, it could appear and close you the wayout. You can't climb or walk around so it's a nightmare for joggers everywhere.

7. Bakeneko

It is literally a regular house cat that gained supernatural powers, and it could be your worst nightmare!

8. Ittan Momen

It is a white strip of cloth, that looks harmless, well, until he decides to strangle you to death.

Unsolved: mysterious cases of unsolved phonecalls

The Kuykendall family Harasser

In 2006, a 16 year old Courtney Kuykendall's phone started sending out random text messages to her friends.
Soon someone started to call the and told that he will kill them, their pets and their grandparents. They told abut this to the police, and the investigation told that the the calls were coming from the same phone they were coming to.

The obvious suspect was Courtney, but even when her phone was turned off, the calls continued to coming.

But the things just got worst: whoever was calling, knew all the things about the family: what they were doing or what they were wearing.

The stalker left a voice message with recorded conversations that the family does, also the day when the police had visited them. This continued for four month.  The cell phone company  didn't think that the technology to hijack existed at the time.

However, the police said that the cell phone could be hijacked by a spyware. The police thought that the family could have been making a story up, but similar cases had happened in other families with their cell phones.

The abduction and murder of Amy Mihaljevic

The police always go to schoold to told children not to go with strangers anywhere.

The problem with Amy was, that her kidnapper was not a stranger to her. They talked by phone few times. The stranger told her that her mother knows him. Amy even told her friends about a stranger, but not to any adult that he was calling her.

That day Amy told her friend she was meeting her secret caller to go buy her mother a present.  After Amy met the man, he allowed her to call her mother, who assumed she was calling from home. It was only after she arrived home that she realized that Amy had never been there.

A search for Amy was done. But, sadly, the girl's body was not found until February 7, 1990. her head had signs of trauma, and it appeared that she was probably sexually assaulted and stabbed. It also looked like the body was dumped a short time after she was kidnapped. The barbaric murder made national headlines and was features on America's most wanted. Yet, no one has ever been arrested in connection with the crime. Investigators are still hoping to track down the mystery caller.

Lost boy Larry, August 1973

New Mexico CB operators recieved a signal from a young boy, who was pleading for help, he said he was trapped in a pickup with his father, and told them that he might be dead fro a heart attack.

According to Larry, his father took him to a hunting trip, but something happed on the road the the car overtuned into a gully, jamming the driver and the passenger side doors.

The boy was no idea where they are, without food or water. Larry's signal was fading in and out. The investigatora begin to search for him in New Mexico, where local police and state police believed the signal originated. Thousands of civilian volunteers were helping to search for the boy, but the volunteers and the police were leading to frustration.

Larry's signal was running out of battery. The newspapers and TV stations picked up the story. Some jokers were mimicking his voice over the airwaves, adding to the chaos.

By august 12, no sign was found, and nobody was searching for Larry.
However, no one has ever come forward to claim responsability and no suspects were named.
Did Larry died in a car, trapped? Were Larry's cries for help a joke?

The mystery remains unsolved.

"Black Dahlia": murder of Eliabeth Short

It still as an unsolved murder.

The body of Elizabeth was found on the morning of January 15, 1947.
Her nude body was found in two pieces on a vacant lot, on the west side of South Norton Avenue  midway between Coliseum Street and West 39th street, in Los Angeles.

Her body was mutilated at the waist and drained entirely of blood. Is was obviously washed by the killer, the face had been slashed from the corners of her mouth to her ears, creating an effect called the Glasgow smile.

According to newspaper reports shortly after murder, Elizabeth Short recieved the nickname "Black Dahlia" at a Long beach, California drugstore in mid 1946 as wordplay on the fim "The Blue Dahlia". Los Angeles County district attorney investigators' reports state that the nickname was invented by newspaper reporters covering the murder. Los Angeles Herald-Express reporter Bevo Means, who interviewed Short's acquaintances at the drug store, is credited with first using "Black Dahlia" name.

A popular portrayal amongst her acquaintances and many true-crime authors was on Short as a call-girl, or prostitute, The Los Angeles district attorney's grand jury proved there was no existing evidence that she was ever a prostitute, and the district attorney's office attributes the claim to confusion with another woman with the same name.

About 60 people confessed to the murder, mostly men. Of those, 25 were considered viable suspects by the Los Angeles District Attorney. Some of the original 25 were eliminated, and several new suspects were proposed.

Some authors proposed a theory of relation of this murder with the Cleveland Torso murders, which took place in Cleveland between 1934 and 1938. Nevertheless, new evidence implicating a former Cleveland torso murder suspect, Jack Anderson Wilson (a.k.a. Arnold Smith), was investigated by Detective Jihn P. St. John in 1980 in connection with Short's death. St. John claimed he was close to arresting Wilson for the murder of Short, but Wilson died in a fire on February 4, 1982.

You can see a mention of Black Dahlia in AHS: the murder house, she was a patient of the psychologist.  :)

Antique places of Spain

I love Europe because of the antique arquitecture, the medieval buildings, because there are a lot of places that you can visit and learn so much history of the art.

You know, I live in Spain, Barcelona, but rarely I visit old buildings, like entire towns, where actually can live people nowadays.

I like this spirit of conservation of those places, because It's what make us love those countries.

Some years ago I have visited a city called Girona, and I was just amazed, It's an amazing, gourgeous town, It has it's antique part and of course i has it's modern city.

You can visit the official page four tourists, to see what It has, If you will visit Spain someday, I recommend you to see this place))

Power of the Mirror

We all have heard about the mystic power of the mirror, that came 'til our epoche and still alive.
If we took the facts only, the mirror is a real object, that remain a long time to elaborate, and the process of creation is really great!

But in most of movies, tales, we see the mystic function of the mirror: we can see there reflectetion of our soul, see us from other, opposite, point.

Most of people believe, that if you broke a mirror, it will bring you bad luck. That fact was a part of an US movie, 10th kingdom.)) (one of my fav)

But why? Why people believe in that?

A good sentence was said: If you don't believe in something, it won't hurt you, and run, until you begin to believe.

This sentence also I can explain as: If you don't submerge your life into something that can affect your mental, or phisic life, better don't commuicate with it. Like religion: because every religion have their "rules" to follow.

If you break a mirror, It could bring you 7 years of bad luck! Or there are also a theory about if you break a mirror, your soul can be trapped into it. So better be more carefull with that!!

Actually, I am not religious, even worse, I am atheist. But the mirror, not all, but at night, It's really strange the feeling I have when watching in a mirror. Did you know, that I also have closed my table mirror with a fabric?

Ok, the fact is, If you break a mirror, just be carefull, you can damage your feet or hands, so better cover them!))

There are so many strange and horrifying facts about peope that was found dead, without anyone noticed.

1. Hedviga Golik

This woman was found sitting in front of the TV, 42 years after she was reported missing. She had apparently made herself a cup of tee before sitting on her favourite chair in front of her B/W television set.
Neighbors thought she had moved to live to other place.

2. Joyce Vincent

On January 25, 2006, north London housing association, was found the skeleton of a 38 years old woman who had been dead for almost three years. The television was still on, when she was found, and a small pile of christmas unopened presents on the floor.

4 terrifying latin american legends

As a kids, we loved the horror stories of our grandmothers, or abuelas, if speaking in spanish.
Those stories kept us awake quite a whole night, keeping us terrifyed.

1. El silbón "The whistler"

Is a terrifying creature in Venezolan folklore. According to the legend, if black headed young man who murdered his father in cold blood and devoured his organs. El silbón is now doomed to wander the earth as a lost soul, lagging a bag filled with fatehr's bones.
The whistler gets his name from the eeerie, bone-chilling whistling sound he emits. Some people barely notice the seemingly lng-distant music, and when they do, it's usually too late.

2. La ciguapa

Is a mythological creature in Dominican legend. They are described as wild, strange women, living in a high mountains who possess incredible magical powers.
These beautiful women boasts a long mane of shiny hair that wraps their naked bodies. Spookily, the feet of La ciguapa face backwards, making it difficult to determine the direction she walks.
The legent tells, that if you look at her eyes, you will be completly bewitched and be under her power.

3. El sombrerón

The Guatemalan tale tells the story of spooky figure who goes out walking after dusk. No one is quite sure if it's a ghost, a demon, a man, or a goblin.
All agree that he's very small, dressed in all-black, and done a big shiny belt, a pair of heavy boots and a large hat that hides his face.
He seduce young women, wooing them with sweet voice and beautiful melodies. Once they become bewitched, he stalks them and braids their hair. Under his spell, they become unable to eat  or sleep, until, eventually, they meet their death.

4. La casa Matusita

This house is a cesspool of hauntings and ghosts activity. No one can agree on the house's background: some say that a man slaughtered his family and then ommitted suicide. Other tales claim that a formal dinner party turned into a massacre after guests were gives hallucinogens.
Some insist it was previously inhabitated by a witch who sold her services to the highest bidder, causing misfortunes across the city. Regardless of what happened, the dead are clearly unhappy about their fate.
Don't climb the stairs to the second floor. nyone who enters is said to completly lose their sanity..

Unexpecting ending in movies

Nowadays there are 1 in 10000000 of really good horror movies.

Most of them are about teenagers that do nothing but partying, I don't like it. In my opinion, a good horror movie don't need those elements, If it's a good movie, it will capt your attention at the first minute.

I will mention some of the mystic movies, in a way that you don't epect such an ending!

1. Shutter island (2010)

A U.S. marshall Edward "Teddy" Daniels is invesigating a psychiatrical hospital on Shutter island. Edward and his partner come to Shutter island to investigate the desappearence of a patiend Rachel Solando.
When you see the actors, it say it all: Leonardo Dicaprio, Ben Kingsley and Mark Ruffalo.

2. The others (2001)

The movie is about a woman with two children, Anne and Nicholas, that live in a huge house. Very catholic mother, who teach her kids religion, but not so religious daughter. One day she recieve strange visitors, that came out as their servants. But in a very strange way.
Her daughter begin to see some strange characters, and it scary her...

3. Skeleton key (2005)

Caroline Alice is a New Orlean's hospice aide, who takes the position of caregiver to a invalid man, he had a stroke, in Loisiana. The man is cared by his wife, Violet gave her a skeleton key, a master key that open all doors of the house. And one day, Caroline explore the attic, and found a hidden small door, with it secrets.

When Caroline tells about that she found in the attic to her friend, and she tells her that it's about african black magic, and it can be dangerous, but Caroline doesn't believe in it.

Hope you will enjoy the movies. They are not so actual, but believe me, they are better of most of the actual movies :) If you like mystic horror, they are made for you!))
