Trenton State Hospital

Originally named New Jersey State Lunatic Asylum, has a long history of helping mentally ill patients, and harming them.
Opened in 1848 and welcomed 86 patients. The first superintendent, Horace Buttolph, was a good man, and provided an excellent care for the people in this care.

Then dr. Henry Cotton took over and the horror began. He began his tenue in 1907, Cotton thought infections caused mental illness.
To test his theories he removed his patients teeths, limbs or any body parts with the slightest sign of infection.

He continued this practice until 1924, when Cotton was put to a review by a peer board. A well respected psychiatrist, Phyllis Greenacre, provides critical reviews and questioned Cotton's work.

In 1925, the New Jersey State Senate held an investigation and found the doctor provided cutting edge treatment and approved his work. He continued killing patients until 1930, when he retired. The hospital staff continued to remove teeth, limbs and organs through the 1950s.

After his death in 1933 a review found his medical procedures killed 45 o/0 ofhis patients.

When the hospital discontinued his gruesome methods, many wings were abandoned and left to fall into disrepair. Still a fully operational psychiatric hospital and a correctional facility remain on the grounds. Currently, the facility is facing its fair share of controversy.

An analysis of State hospital data (by the express-times) from the 2005 through 2010 shows Trenton recorded the highest rates of violence and patient restraint compared to New Jersey's other state psychiatric  hospitals.
Department of human resources shows that 112(71 o/*)  of the incidents occured in the Trenton State Hospital

Goldfield hotel: paranormal activities

I heard about this hotel recently, and this was really interesting, because of using real cameras and sound.

So first about the hotel, a bit of history:

Is a historic building located at the southeast corner at the Crook Avenue (U.S), Goldfield, Esmeralda County, Nevada.

So, what exactly is it that makes Goldfield Hotel haunted?

Well, according to legend, room 109 is haunted by a pregnant prostitute named Elizabeth. Supposedly, she was chained to the radiator by George Winfield, the hotel’s original owner. He didn’t want anyone to know he had gotten her pregnant and was afraid she’d tell, ruining his reputation. After giving birth, Elizabeth was left to die in the room and her newborn was disposed of by being thrown down the mine shaft, which the hotel was built over. Since that incident, many people have reported seeing her in room 109. They’ve also felt her presence. Several people have even heard loud cries from a baby. Elizabeth may be a well-known ghost at the hotel, but she’s not the only one. Ghosts of small children playing on the lobby staircase have been reported, in addition to a ghost that randomly stabs hotel visitors.

Even the ghost of George Winfield has been seen.

Many people, who went to analyse this place after, in our century guys, went with cameras to pretend film something rare. And it was, by sound and some happenings by filming.

Dark asylums

Hello, my dear audience, and hope you will waiting for me...!!

Today I will talk about several hospitals, my favourite part od the dark world! ( hope your too...)

1. Letchworth Village

After testing the polio vaccine, this mental hospital sits in ruin.
It was a pacefull, small town fell, and in 1911 is was choosen to be the home of a progressive experiment: an utopian village, where the mentally ill could fins calm and refuge. Nowadays we seem it like a sinister place, but from the start, it was a progressive place: there were a power station, shops, sprawling grounds and places of worships.

Despite such od goos intentions, unfortunately Letchworth Village was almost immediately overcrowded, with the majority of its patients being children. It seemed to follow a trajectory from a "noble-facility-for-healing", to "abusive-humam-rights-horror-show" to finally "haunting-ruins".

The facility was up-front about its intentions to use the patients bas guinea pigs in clinical trials. The most camous case was the experimental polio vaccine, which was successfully tested on an eight-year old boy in 1950.
It was finally closeď in 1996, after years of reports of abuse, neglect and abysmal conditions. We will never know what truly happened in this hospital, but there is an evidence about a mile from Letchworth, a small cementery hidden in the forest off Call Hollow Rood, most of the graves are about the size of a child. In plan of names, the graves are merely numbered.

2. Alcatraz's Off Limits hospital

With an operating room, psychiatric cells, wards with beds, and other resources, a visiting surgeon and specialists gave regular care to the maximum security prisoners, without risking their escape. Medical care was one of the only four basic rights granted to pisoners.

3. Gonjiam Pshychiatric Hospital

It has been called one of the most haunted places on South Korea, and CNN has claimed it was "one of the most freakiest places in the world". Gonjiam was forced to close mainly sue to economic downturns, insanitary conditions and problems with the sewage disposal system, not due to insane doctors or murderous patients.
The buildings stand complete with rushed out machines, hospital remnants, trash, and filthy  mattresses, adding to its creepy and haunted reputation.

*****

Hole you liked this part with asylums as Iiked it, soon I will post more interesting places or cases I will find!!!

Thank you dor visiting me and until very soon!!

Severalls Hospital, England

Just found another hospital, exciting and creepy!

many people dosen't feel anything about abandoned places, but they hang a really special aura, and transmit something !!

There also were done electroshoking therapy and lobotomies, like in all the rest of mental asylums.
Several of the female patients were committed by their families after birthing bastard children, often the result of being raped.

The hospital opened in 1913, and had shut down in 1997.

Abandoned house: 2

Yet another story of abandoned house.

This house seems to be frosen since it was abandoned. There are also cloths hanging up to the bath, and all kind of personal hygiene left in the bathroom, just awaiting for the owners to return.
This was a work of Dave, from a photolog called Freaktography http://freaktography.wordpress.com/

Dave was able to speak to the home owner's daughter, I don't know if she is still alive. Through his conversation, he learned that the house was willed to a local church when the owner passed away, and that the daughter and the church were in a dispute over who will recieve the land. The mysterious part, is the question why her belongings were left in the house for over 30 years.

Abandoned house

Abandoned places has its magic, and even more, when they have a secret in it!

There are a lot of people who found great things in those houses!

Let's see!

1

One guy communicated to his friend that there was an abandoned house, and gave him the coordinates.

The house seems to have been abandoned for 30 years, because it has very antique stuff inside.

There were old photos, probably of the family that lived there.

Gloss starch, vintage keys, buttons, nails and straw broom. Also, someone's dentures.

High Royds Hospital, Menston, West Yorkshire, England

It was first opened in 1888 as the West Riding Pauper Lunatic asylum.

Treatment of the Victorian patient ranged from opium, the main sedative in the mid 19th century, to laudanum, bromide to chloral hydrate. Physical treatment included turkish or hot baths, wet sheet packs and electric stimulations.

Experience in hospitals wasn't required, if you were phisycally fit and be a good sportsman or able to play a musical instrument you were very likely to be offered a position.

At one time the asylum included: ballroom, library, surgery, dispensary, butcher's, baker's, diary, even a ballroom.

Abandoned but not forgotten: abandoned asylums

You know, I love mental hospitals, asylums, and I ssearched for thich ones are the most interesting, so I found several of them:

FOREST HAVEN ASYLUM

This photo reminds me of the asylum in a very bad game, but very recent (sorry, I don't remember the name, but the protagonist was a woman, maybe journalist...)

Opened in 1925, this hospital was very progressive and high quality institution in treating mental problems.
By the 1960, the hospital begun to dry up and devasting, and there were not suficient money for it, and they have charged slow budget employees.
But then the doctors and nurses got crazy, and have begun to do gross experiments with patients, abuse them sexually,...
Hundred of patients died, and according to one report, some where subject of medical experiments before the hospital was shuttered in 1991. (oh! this is my  year of birth!!)
With buildings like this hospitals, why movies still building sets? xD

THE WEYBURN MENTAL HOSPITAL

Opened in 1921, it quickly became one of Canada's most notorious psychiatrics institutions. It was the site of lobotomies, electric shock therapy and some of Canada's controversial LSD experiments. It was there that Dr. Humphrey Osmond coined the word "psychedelic" and was among the first administer LSD in psychiatric experiments.
In 1971,  the Weyburn Mental Hospital closed its doors and patients were transferred to other instituions. The building now stands abandoned as the govermment plans its demolition. (WHAT??? WHY???....)

Well, that's all for today, next time I will post more about abandoned asylums, 'cus I love this theme!!!
See you soon!!
Good night to all, and good morning for my USA friends!))

Most typical topics: TOP creepypastas

Oh, those days when I was about to search for creepypastas, about which are the most famous, which are less famous, but not least. I love them, actually every night, before to go to bed, I see a horror movie or listen to horror stories, I love them.

Sometimes there are creepypastas less famous, that ones you need to search deep in the internet, because there are a lot of stories that are very interesting!!

Well, in this post I will do a top of my favourite creepypastas, I know there are a lot of other good ones, so I would like to recieve mails about stories, places, that you think have this creepy thing on it, I would appreciate it a lot!))) I will post it in a list mode, but really all the points are my favourite!))

1. 1999

This creepypasta really seems to be real, If you analize all the points, there are not any paranormal activity, ghosts, monsters... Well, if we apply this term in real life, a monster who kill children.
This creepypasta is about a guy, that tell us a story about a channel that he saw on a TV when he was a boy.
He saw a channel that was about a low-budget programme for kids, It was a weird, creepy thing watching this channel. He tells, that he saw this channel for several days. And it turn weirder and weirder each day he saw it.
I don't want to tell all the story, because is very larg. But at the final, the gut, who wrote the story, find the home where the guy in bear mask does his murderers.

2. The russian sleep experiment

This story really sounds very real, but I doubt about it. If tell the story shortly:
- There was a group of people that were a part of an experiment that meant to not to sleep. Shortly after World War II, five political prisoners are subjected to an experiment in which they have to remain awake for 30 days in a tank filled with an experimental gas. As with most science-gone-wrong-stories, the test subjects begin to lose their minds among a number of other gruesome symptoms. The horror does not end when the experiment try to save their subject - far from it.
When the experiment was able to end, people asks for more gas, because they wasn't able to live without it. After all this, they begun to eat each other.
Well, this could sounds really realistic but this it not, this is just another creepypasta xD

3. Abandoned willage

This horror story is just an audio story I found, and I really liked it.
Two friends decide to visit a village where a house of one of them is.
When they arrive there, they found the fact that all the village is in silence, there no longer live no person. Is completly empty.
When I say it's completly empty, this mean that there are no dogs, cats, ANY live creature.
So they went to the house of one of the guy, WAIT, I forgot to mention the fact that most of the houses were distroyed. Ok, the house of the guy, was fine. They enter there, and the main character went to see if he can found anyone to ask about all of these things. So the other guy just stepted one point of the floor and did not moved.
The main character did not find nothing, and when returned to his house, his friend was on the same point where his friend leaved him. So he asked if he moved , and the answer was NO.
Great, then they listened for strange noises outside, like someone was walking through the trees, the sound you do moving leaves. They have await all the night in the house. In the morning, they listened to their car sound, like someone touched it. So they were really scared, but they need to escape, so they decided to have risk on go into the car and escape from there.
After this trip, they were better friends and better commuicated, like the horror just close them up more.

There are more my less favourite stories, but maybe I will post abut it in the future.
I will think about which ones, and let you know about.
You know, that you can send me stories, places, horror games... to be mentioned, and I will post about it. ))

Have a good night, and morning to my beloved USA friends!))

Hovrinskaya's hospital: Abandoned hospital

This giant abandoned hospital in Moscow, Russia, begun to construct in 1980, but stopped in 1985.
This hospital have a Brutalist architecture style, developed between from 1950s 'til 1970s. Descending from the modernist archecture from the early 20th century.

The term is originated from the french word "raw"in the term used by Le Corbusier, to describe his choice of material, béton brut (raw concrete).

This hospital have few gossips of why it has stopped building: because of the fundation of the base, and because of the satanic sect that was habitating there.

Nowadays this territory is hugely protected by several companies and the goverment, and there are plans to revive this hospital and return it to life.))
