Stillborn angels

Stillborn angels

This website is really creepy. But is totally real, its about women who can't deal with the fact that their babies were stillborn. It is filled with images of dead babies, dressed and just posing for the beautiful photo.

Everyone has their problems and obviously they can have a remember card about it, but posting those photos, well...

Movies inspired on true stories

In this blog you know I like to post about things that really happened, about unsolved mysteries, some of legends too...

But nothing shocks you more than the movies based on true stories, when you realize that it really happened, and much more if its a horror movie: about a maniacs, catastroph or a nature itself.

I was interested in some characters I met in video games, like the Eddie Gluskin from Outlast, or Bloodyface from AHS series.

So let me begin to explore this type of movies, and hope you enjoy it and maybe you like some of them!

1. The girl nextdoor (2007)

The movie:

Aunt tortures and abuse her niece, and a neighborhood boy fails to alert the authorities.

The real inspiration:

Based on a Jack Ketchum's novel of the same name, is based on the murder of Sylvia Likens, a 16,years old girl from Indiana in 1965. Sylvia and her sister jenny were left in the care of a family friend, Gertrude Baniszewski, when their parents left town as travelling carnival workers.
Baniszewski, along with her children and a few neighborhood kids, locked Sylvia in the basement, where they tortured and abused her until she died of a brain hemorhage and malnutrition.

2. Deranged (1974)

Seeing this photo, did it remind you of someone?
So, if you think about Ed Gein, you're right!
This 70's movie relates us a story about this peculiar character,

Did you ever loved someone so much, that you kept their body even after their death? So, this movie is exactly about that! It is inspired on the most notorious serial killer, Ed Gein.

3. Ravenous (1999)

How would you felt if you had to eat a human meat? This is the most underrated movie about cannibalism which will spook you like nothing else can.

"You are what you eat"

Literally.

3. Borderland (2007)

Oh, what's next? If you are a psycho, you like gore details, this is just for you, my friend!

Based on a real cult leader Adolfo de Jesús Constanzo, this movie has a gory details of how human sacrifice was practiced by the cult.

!!!Spoiler!!!

Toes, fingers and even brain were cut out by him, and you can watch all of that in this movie.

4. The dentist (1966)

Ho ho ho.... OMG! I just remember this movie! We rent it one day on the 90`s and as a child, I remember this horrible movie, I don't remember a particular scene, but just a lot of blood and the guy, the dentist, killing their patients.

Just see it before you go to the dentist! ;D

Unsolved mysteries

The Hornet Spook Light

With sightings dating back as far as 1866,
The Hornet Spook Light, also known as "The devil's promenade", in Northeast Oklahoma.

Normally said to be an orange ball of light, stretch of gravel road, legend says that it was the first seen by Native Americans who walked the Trail of Tears.

The light it simply appears in the sky, wanders, bobbing and weaving at great speed, and then is gone.

Scientists say that it may be reflected headlights of nearby drivers. However, this doesn't explain the sightings before the invention of the automobile.

The desappearance of Benjamin Bathurst

Benjamin Bathurst was a 19th century diplomat for Britain. In 1809, after conducting a diplomatic mission to Austria, he headed home, forced to take a more perilous route to aboid the French. Armed to the teeth, he decided to travel through Germany, under the assumed name of Koch.

On November 25th, Bathurst and his german aide, Herr Krause, stopped at the small town of Perleberg, resting a little before continuing their journey. When the time had come to leave the inn at which they had stopped, Bathurst walked out the door, with Krause following afterward, only seconds behind. However, when Krause got outside,  Bathurst was gone, never to be seen again.

He was never found. The theories about his desappearance, is that he was killed in prison.
Other theory states that he was just anather victim of the bandits who made travelling through Europe during the 19th century a risky proposition.

The guilty secret: murder related in a book

Liu Yongbiao murdered four person and soon related it in his book, called "The guilty secret".

There ir no a better inspiration for a book or a movie that the reality, and as we all know, the reality is always a lot more surprising that the fiction.

The famous chinese writer, Liu Yongbiao, is arrested for committing a crime 22 years ago, and as a confession, has written about this in a book.

The story:

The night of 29th of november of 1995, four person were murdered by a crowd in a pension of the Huzhou city, the west province of Zhejiang.
To rob one of the guests, they beat him 'till death, and to hide their crime, they also killed the couple that were with him, and also his grandchild, of 13 years old.

At the beginning, there were two clients of the pension being suspicious, they were registered the same night the crime were committed, from the province of Anhui. One of the cause was their marked accent. By this time, there was not obligated to be registered with the identity card, for that reason the receptionist can't say much about their real identity.

More that two decades soon, as related in "China Daily", there were new proves and analizes of DNA and fingerprints in 15 provinces, came to the detention of Liu Yongbiao, and his accomplice, of 64 years old, called Wang.

-"I was waiting for you all this time" with these words, the writer recieved the police in his house, to arrest him.

Nobody, includes his wife and family, known about the crime.

He admitted his crime in a video, and with this he can give his inspiration a step in a prison.

Trenton State Hospital

Originally named New Jersey State Lunatic Asylum, has a long history of helping mentally ill patients, and harming them.
Opened in 1848 and welcomed 86 patients. The first superintendent, Horace Buttolph, was a good man, and provided an excellent care for the people in this care.

Then dr. Henry Cotton took over and the horror began. He began his tenue in 1907, Cotton thought infections caused mental illness.
To test his theories he removed his patients teeths, limbs or any body parts with the slightest sign of infection.

He continued this practice until 1924, when Cotton was put to a review by a peer board. A well respected psychiatrist, Phyllis Greenacre, provides critical reviews and questioned Cotton's work.

In 1925, the New Jersey State Senate held an investigation and found the doctor provided cutting edge treatment and approved his work. He continued killing patients until 1930, when he retired. The hospital staff continued to remove teeth, limbs and organs through the 1950s.

After his death in 1933 a review found his medical procedures killed 45 o/0 ofhis patients.

When the hospital discontinued his gruesome methods, many wings were abandoned and left to fall into disrepair. Still a fully operational psychiatric hospital and a correctional facility remain on the grounds. Currently, the facility is facing its fair share of controversy.

An analysis of State hospital data (by the express-times) from the 2005 through 2010 shows Trenton recorded the highest rates of violence and patient restraint compared to New Jersey's other state psychiatric  hospitals.
Department of human resources shows that 112(71 o/*)  of the incidents occured in the Trenton State Hospital

Space mysteries

I just realized that I always post about earth mysteries, and there is always things related to real stories, mysteries we have on this planet, but...

I always was very interested about space, planets, galaxies, black matter.... And I think that there are a lot of people who like it too, and so from now on, I will add a point in my list and we will explore science mysteries together.

First, and I think one of the most popular things to talk about is, the Black Hole.

What is a Black Hole? How it works?

Is a region in space that exhibit a high gravitation level, that even planets, galaxies, stars and even the light, can't escape from it.
In fact, a Black Hole it's doesn't visible as a thing, such a planet, or star, to explain it, the Black Hole is a part of nothing, a black region, in the space, that is noticeble by a rare activity of the planets, their movement is faster that the usual, because of the high level of gravity, Black Hole just call them like a vacuum cleaner, that makes them move faster by the axis. Just throw a big ball to the bed, and then put around small balls, you will see that the big one attracts the small balls by the gravity.
